❖ Do not cleanse the treated area during the first 48 hours.
❖ Do not expose your treated skin to the sun.
❖ Always use a cotton tip or applicator to apply the barrier cream. Always wash your hands thoroughly using antibacterial soap.
❖ Contact your provider immediately if you have continued pain, blistering, oozing, or concerns about itching in the treated area.
❖ After the first 48 hours, a mild cleanser, (no glycolic) can be used 2 times per day. Apply the skin cleanser by dabbing or patting it with your hands and then rinse gently.
❖ After cleansing, to ease any discomfort such as itching you may take half of a Benadryl or use hydrocortisone cream.
❖ Apply a heavy layer of barrier cream or Aquaphor before bed. Always use a cotton tip or applicator to apply the barrier cream. Always wash your hands thoroughly using antibacterial soap.
❖ For optimal results keep the skin densely hydrated & continue electrolyte supplementation for one week.
❖ If your skin feels tight or dry it may be necessary to reapply the barrier cream.
❖ Do not pick! Picking may result in an infection or scar.
❖ The treated skin will generally flake within 3 to 10 days. The old skin will come off as you wash your face. It may be di cult to see flaking. As your skin flakes, there may be some areas that are lighter or darker. This should even out over time.
❖ Abstain from exercise 5 days post-treatment.
